We’re proud to share exciting news about our partner, Virtua Health, which has been named among the “60 Hospitals and Health Systems with Great Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Programs” for 2024 by Becker’s Hospital Review.

Virtua Health delivers a robust spectrum of behavioral health services across South Jersey, anchored by 70 inpatient beds and supported by a team of over 60 certified behavioral health professionals. The system has made mental healthcare more accessible by embedding licensed clinical social workers in 28 primary care sites and launching digital tools like Woebot to aid emotional well-being. Notably, the “Children Achieving Success Through Therapeutic Life Experiences” program has offered tailored outpatient services for children and adolescents with mental health diagnoses for over 20 years, with an expansion planned for 2025. The system also treats substance use disorders with an integrated medication-assisted treatment program and offers advanced interventional psychiatry options including electroconvulsive therapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation, and soon ketamine therapy. The perinatal mood and anxiety disorder program is the first standalone facility in South Jersey dedicated to maternal mental health, launched in response to high demand.
