Carolyn Segal, PhD

“I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become”- Carl Jung

My name is Carolyn Segal. I received my doctoral degree in psychology from the University of North Texas. I strive to foster a collaborative approach with my clients utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as mindfulness techniques. I’m interested in working with adults facing challenges with mood disorders, adjustment issues and PTSD. Other areas of interest include problems as we grow older such as grief, loss of status and purpose, social isolation, loneliness, and the impacts of medical conditions and cognitive decline on mental health.
