Liz Capone, MSW, LCSW

After nearly 40 years working in mental health, I still love my job. I enjoy meeting each unique client exactly where they are in life to help them achieve their intended goals. I believe that when people care for themselves well, they can blossom from the strong core they have built. We all come with both strengths & weaknesses that we need to accept in order to best use the tools we have. Everyone is capable of improvement. Its an honor to accompany each person along their path, however they choose to travel.

While I do treat depression & anxiety, I am especially well-versed in trauma recovery. Bipolar management is also a specialty. A cognitive behavioral approach is the base of my intervention which is then tailored to the individual.  At heart, I am a social worker who considers all of the environmental factors that impact mental illness. It’s also important to keep a sense of humor. I will not push anyone in a direction they don’t wish to go.

Personally, I have been married and successfully raised two sons. I’m a Jersey girl who likes to exercise and play games. I am lucky enough to still have my mom and my roommate is a cat.

I look forward to meeting you!
